The Township of South Stormont is ideally located along the beautiful St. Lawrence River and is teeming with outdoor recreation opportunities such as Campgrounds and Beaches, top-notch cycling on the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail, and birding and nature trail opportunities at the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary

The Township is also home to a storied history that includes early settlements, significant battlegrounds of the War of 1812, and the remnants of the communities, known as the Lost Villages, that were moved and subsequently flooded to accommodate the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway.

The United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry are the Tourism body representing the entire region. Be sure to visit their website for more information about the Tourism opportunities in South Stormont, and the SDG Region.
