Arnold Bethune Park

This play structure was originally planned for a summer 2021 install, but with the pandemic and resulting supply chain issues, installation was completed in spring 2022.

This project was partially funded by an ICIP Community Culture and Recreation Grant from the Government of Canada and Government of Ontario. 

Arrowhead Estates Park

This play structure was installed November 2022.

This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.

Chase Meadows Park

This play structure was scheduled for a November 2022 install, but was pushed into spring 2023 because of supply delays. Prior to public access, parkland will need to be cleared and developed prior to installation of the structure. Brush will be removed and a proper pedestrian access along the pipeline from Jim Brownell Blvd will be established.

This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.

Lloyd Hawn Park

This play structure was installed in October 2023.

This project was fully funded by a capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation which is funded by the Government of Ontario.

MacLennan Park

This play structure was originally planned for a summer 2021 install, but with the pandemic and resulting supply chain issues, installation was completed in spring 2022.

Maple Street Park

This play structure was installed in November 2022.

This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.

Moulinette Island Park

This play structure was installed in spring 2023.

This project was supported by a $6030 donation from the Moulinette Island Residents Association and partial funding from the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.

Simon Fraser Park

This play structure installation was completed at the end of October 2022.

This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.

This 20' x 40' metal pavilion is one of three that were installed in South Stormont parks!

Lost Villages / Ault Park - Wooden Pavilion

This 20' x 40' wooden pavilion has been installed at Lost Villages.

This project was partially funded by Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program - Community Culture and Recreation Grant from the Government of Canada and Government of Ontario and the Lost Villages Historical Society

Simon Fraser Park - Metal Pavilion

Arnold Bethune Park - Phase I

As outlined in the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, this trail section runs along the west perimeter of Arnold Bethune Park with connections to Saunders Avenue, St. Laurent Avenue and Johnson Crescent, concluding near the washroom building.

This phase of the project, completed in spring of 2022, was completely funded by ICIP COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Grant from the Government of Canada and Government of Ontario.

Arnold Bethune Park - Phase II

Continuing with the village trail network as described in the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, this section complements Phase I by creating a loop and connecting Simcoe Street, Bethune Avenue and Frost Avenue while also running near the Longue Sault Public School entrance gate. 

This phase has been completed. This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. 

Mille Roches Corridor

This 1km trail will provide residents and visitors with safe and accessible connections to the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail, Municipal Office, Woodland Villa Nursing Home and Long Sault Arena.

This project was completed in spring 2023 and was completely funded by a Provincial COVID Community Recovery Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. 

Ingleside Community Park - Basketball Court 

The asphalt surface is complete and nets have been installed.

This 98' x 54' basketball court is partially funded by the R-O 50th Anniversary Committee.
